A roundup of 2020
Well, I suppose it’s no surprise to anyone that 2020 has had its challenges, some larger than others. We’ve lost loved ones, lost income and lost faith in our government. BUT, we have gained perspective, strength and excellent friendships. Despite how hard and rocky its been, I am grateful for another year in business at Mini Moo Studios.
2020 saw me lose my beloved Mum to Covid 19, a shock to us all. It’s taught me to love a little bit harder and Mum was also the inspiration behind our little rebrand, so thank you for that Mum! You can read more about that here
The rebrand was of course as a result of gaining my trademark – we are officially registered as Mini Moo Studios – I had a little glass of bubbles to celebrate that one. You’d be amazed at how many other small businesses wanted to use the same name, so I’m glad I managed to nab it!
A big shout out to all of my lovely followers, regular customers who can’t resist another little photo shoot and to all of my new clients. 2020 wouldn’t have meant very much without all of your support. And not just financially! It’s been extremely refreshing to receive support in the form of social reviews, post shares, word of mouth and just generally become connected to lovely people.
This year has been the year of the ‘family session’ at Mini Moo Studios. I’ve been so lucky to meet lots of lovely families on outdoor shoots. It’s always so magical to be part of some really heart-warming moments and I just love capturing them.
I’ve also really enjoyed working on some Christmas shoots outdoors – these are such special memories that you can use on Christmas cards, make decorations out of or simply hang on the wall. Next year I am hoping the shoots will be bigger and better and we’ll even be allowed to be indoors together at the studio – I’m even thinking of hiring a real-life Santa Claus and turning it into a bit of a grotto – can’t wait to get cracking.
This year, in 2021, I’m looking forward to meeting more newborn babies and mamas to be. We’ve all heard of the #LockdownBaby trend that happened so perhaps this means there are lots of little newborns waiting to be photographed once lockdown is over!
I hope that you can also look to the positives that 2020 may have brought you and here’s to celebrating 2021 together! Onwards and upwards for everyone (and fingers crossed for the vaccine to run smoothly)!
